Storywell Collective
A nonprofit studio cultivating storytelling through care, cinema, and community.
Our Mission
Storywell Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization stewarding storytelling through cinematic practice, listening rituals, and community-rooted education.
We expand access to film education by creating structured spaces where emerging and underrepresented creatives can learn, collaborate, and produce meaningful work.
Listen first
We open space for thoughtful conversation before proposing solutions.
Care deeply
Every program centers collective well-being and responsible growth.
Create courageously
We pair cinematic craft with community voice so stories are authored locally.
Values
Embodied care
Guided pauses, thoughtful prompts, and staffed listening salons keep every project grounded.
Cinematic listening
We pair sound with image in ways that honor the slow motion of memory and trust.
Communal craft
Mentors, fellows, and neighbors rewrite scripts together, cocreating films and podcasts.
Public access
Sliding-scale tickets, scholarships, and invitations keep the well wide and open.
Founders’ narrative
Founder stories tether Storywell Collective to the Southwest. We convene in Santa Fe to design residency cycles, mentor crews, and screen community films before sharing them with wider audiences.
Evergreen values, slow festivals, and listening labs remain our compass.
